What is an Arrangement?

An arrangement is the process of organizing and structuring the musical elements of a composition into a complete and cohesive piece of music. It determines how different instruments, vocals, and musical sections are arranged and layered throughout a song.

In a musical arrangement, decisions are made about which instruments play at different moments, how the melody and harmonies are supported, and how the song progresses from beginning to end. This can include defining sections such as the intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and outro.
