Fcukers Lead 2026 Independent Music Awards Nominees, With Robyn and Arca Also Featured
When the Association of Independent Music (AIM) announced the full slate of nominees for its 2026 Independent Music Awards on July 16, the industry’s attention zeroed in on New York‑based electronic duo Fcukers, who top the list with three separate nods.
Fcukers’ debut album Ö, released on Ninja Tune, earned the group a trio of nominations: Best Independent Album (in partnership with Spotify), Best Independent Track (in partnership with Meta) and Independent Breakthrough (in partnership with Amazon Music). The spread underscores the album’s commercial reach and critical acclaim within the independent sector.
The ceremony, set for September at London’s Roundhouse, also spotlights high‑profile acts such as Swedish pop icon Robyn, who returned with her first studio album in eight years, Sexistential. Robyn is up for Best Independent Album and Best Independent Track, while her title track was remixed by Arca, who is nominated for Best Independent Remix.
Across six categories, 34 artists and 42 releases vie for recognition:
