NAMM Announces Expanded 2027 Show Schedule, Adds AI, Sync, and Percussion Focus

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) has unveiled the full agenda for its 2027 Show, slated for January 26–30, 2027 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. The five‑day event will feature new summits, expanded education programming, a broad range of awards, and a three‑day exhibition floor that opens on January 28.

The Show kicks off on Tuesday, January 26, with a focus on education, networking, and professional development. The day opens with a full‑day financial training session led by Alan Friedman and Daniel Jobe. The NAMM Succession Summit will address ownership transitions, while the NAMM Financial Summit will cover financial health and bottom‑line improvement. An inaugural NAMM Music Education Advocacy Summit will provide tools for businesses to support music‑education funding.

Wednesday, January 27, introduces the NAMM AI Marketing Summit, which will explore marketing strategies that incorporate the latest artificial‑intelligence tools. The day also hosts the TEC Tracks Studio Summit and TEC Tracks Live Sound Summit, which present innovations for studio and stage production, and the Entertainment Technology Summit, which offers hands‑on techniques for lighting and live‑event production. The Women of NAMM Leadership Amplified summit continues on Wednesday, offering leadership training for women in the industry.

Thursday, January 28, marks the opening of the main exhibition halls. The NAMM Sync Summit, a new addition, will discuss recent developments in sync licensing and music placement. The Percussion Showcase in Hall C will feature live demonstrations every hour, highlighting top percussion brands. The day also includes several awards ceremonies: the TEC Awards, Backline Talk Awards, Bass Magazine Awards, and the Yamaha Night of Worship concert.

Friday, January 29, continues the exhibit floor with a Grand Rally for Music Education, which celebrates the role of music education and includes performances and stories from students worldwide. The evening hosts the Parnelli Awards, honoring excellence in live‑event production.

Saturday, January 30, concludes the Show with a final day of product demonstrations and networking. The closing ceremonies feature the Best in Show and She Rocks Awards, which recognize outstanding products and women making an impact in the music industry.

The 2027 Show builds on the 2026 event, which drew more than 60,000 attendees from 122 countries and represented an estimated $9.8 billion in buying power. In 2026, the online exhibitor directory received over 150,000 unique visits, the mobile app was downloaded 31,000 times, and creator‑generated content from the Show reached more than 70 million social‑media views.

NAMM’s expanded schedule reflects the organization’s commitment to providing a comprehensive platform for music‑product manufacturers, retailers, educators, and creators. The new summits on AI marketing and sync licensing address emerging industry trends, while the Percussion Showcase and expanded education programming support niche communities and music‑education advocates.

The organization will continue to release additional details throughout 2026 as the Show approaches. For the latest information, attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to visit NAMM.org.
