Amy Crawford Elected National President of Association of Music Producers

In a decisive vote that underscores the industry’s evolving priorities, Amy Crawford, Vice‑President of Creative Development at MassiveMusic, has been elected National Board President of the Association of Music Producers (AMP). The election follows Crawford’s two‑year tenure as East Coast Chapter President and her long‑standing service on the East Chapter board and its Programming and Communications Committees.

AMP is stepping into a period of change. The organization represents independent music and audio post companies that deliver original music, music supervision, licensing, sync, audio post and mixing services to agencies and brands. Its membership has expanded in recent years, buoyed by networking events, knowledge‑sharing initiatives and a strong presence at major industry conferences.

Crawford’s election came on the heels of the 2026 AMP Awards, which the association called “one of the most successful events in the association’s history.” She noted that the industry faces challenges from artificial‑intelligence tools and shifting dynamics at large advertising agencies. “Issues surrounding AI and changing dynamics at many of the largest advertising agencies have presented challenges to our members, as well as to the industry as a whole,” Crawford said. She added that AMP’s community of creative leaders produces influential work with global impact.

Diversity and inclusion remain central to AMP’s agenda. The Social Inclusion & Culture Committee has secured new funding for a scholarship program that will broaden the range of perspectives represented on AMP boards and committees. “We’re continuing to broaden the diversity of perspectives represented across our boards and committees, helping ensure AMP remains relevant, forward‑looking, and responsive to the evolving needs of our industry,” Crawford said.

Education and mentorship are also high on the new national board’s list of priorities. Crawford, who has performed and toured internationally—including more than a decade of collaboration with Anthony Braxton—expressed a commitment to mentoring emerging talent. “I’m grateful to AMP for this opportunity to help steer the organization forward,” she said. “AMP has been and will continue to be a leader in our field, advocating for our members, championing creative excellence, and serving as a trusted voice on the issues shaping our profession.”

The leadership change introduces new chapter presidents. Adrian Womack, Executive Creative Producer at Racket Club, will succeed Crawford as East Chapter President. Womack, who has served on AMP’s committees, said he looks forward to leading the East Coast chapter alongside Crawford and West Coast President Jean Scofield, Executive Creative Producer and partner at Mophonics.

Scofield emphasized her goal of creating more channels for AMP members to share knowledge and unite the increasingly remote network. “I’m grateful to AMP for their trust to take on the role of West Coast chapter president and am excited to support Amy and Adrian in fulfilling our collective goals,” she said.

With this new leadership structure, AMP is positioned to address current industry challenges. As AI tools become more prevalent in music creation and post‑production, AMP’s advocacy and educational initiatives will be critical for members navigating new workflows and licensing models.

In short, Amy Crawford’s election as National Board President marks a continuity of experienced leadership within AMP. With new chapter presidents in place and a renewed focus on diversity, education, and AI‑related industry shifts, the association is ready to support its members through the evolving landscape of music and audio production.
