What is Speedcore?

Speedcore is an extremely fast and aggressive style of electronic music that developed from hardcore techno. The genre is known for its extremely high tempos, distorted kick drums, and intense rhythmic energy.

Speedcore tracks often run above 200 beats per minute, and in some cases can reach tempos of 300 BPM or even faster. The music typically features relentless kick drum patterns, harsh distortion, and chaotic electronic sounds that create a highly intense listening experience.

The genre usually focuses more on raw rhythm and sonic intensity than on melodic elements. Producers frequently use heavy distortion, noise textures, and industrial-style sound design to create the aggressive character of Speedcore.

Speedcore evolved from faster forms of hardcore techno and is related to other extreme electronic genres such as gabber. Producers typically create Speedcore using digital audio workstations such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Logic Pro along with heavy distortion effects and aggressive drum programming.
