Gibson Opens Immersive Garage in Miamis Wynwood, Showcasing 600 Guitars and Latin Music Focus

Gibson celebrated the grand opening of its third global Garage on September 10, 2026, in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District at 2660 NW Third Avenue. The 8,000‑square‑foot showroom—its second in the United States and the first to spotlight Latin music and Caribbean sounds—promises to be a new hub for musicians, fans, and the broader community.

Inside, visitors are greeted by a staggering array of nearly 600 instruments spanning Gibson’s family of brands: Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie, Maestro, KRK, and Gibson Amplifiers. The layout turns the space into a living laboratory: each guitar sits on a conveyor belt, ready to be plucked, strummed, or explored. Staff specialists guide guests through tone‑building, customization options, and the history behind each model. A dedicated performance stage crowns the venue, offering a venue for concerts, album launches, and community programs.

The ribbon‑cutting ceremony drew a mix of corporate leaders, city officials, and Latin music icons. Gibson’s interim CEO Anne Rohosy, Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins, and artists such as Peruvian singer‑songwriter Gian Marco, Nicaraguan salsa legend Luis Enrique, Maná guitarist Sergio Vallín, Argentine guitarist Nico Bereciartua, and American singer‑guitarist Grace Potter were in attendance. Vallín underscored the Garage’s potential for emerging talent, noting, “Having a space like this in the community is an incredible opportunity for kids to see the power of music.”

The collection spans every skill level—from entry‑level models to rare custom shop pieces. A standout is Vallín’s signature 1955 Les Paul Goldtop, a homage to his work with Maná. The showroom also houses the first permanent Gibson Gallery in the United States, showcasing the brand’s visual heritage.

The inaugural exhibition, Amplified: Icons of Music Through the Lens, partners with Getty Images to display more than 30 photographs of iconic performers across rock, blues, pop, country, folk, jazz, reggae, and Americana. The gallery includes images of Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Dolly Parton, Madonna, The Beatles, and Johnny Cash, among others.

Local artists Solano and Nate Dee contributed murals that infuse the space with Miami’s vibrant street‑art spirit. Solano’s hand‑painted piece graces the Kramer area, while Dee’s outdoor work adorns the building’s south façade. A free public panel, Music and Murals, will open on September 11, featuring the artists and a musical guest.

Gibson positioned the Miami Garage as more than a showroom: it aims to “play, explore, create, connect, and experience Gibson heritage in the real world.” The company emphasized that the venue will serve as a gathering place for the city’s diverse music community, rather than a traditional retail space.

Miami’s prominence as a Latin‑music hub—home to record labels, publishers, producers, and studios—provides a natural backdrop for Gibson’s focus. The city draws talent from Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Latino market, reinforcing the Garage’s mission to bridge classic guitar heritage with contemporary musical cultures.

The stage and community programming fill a noticeable gap in the local scene, where smaller venues for stripped‑down sets and direct fan interaction are limited. Gibson’s emphasis on Latin artists, lifestyle merchandise, and collaborations with Miami designers reflects the district’s multicultural identity.

The new location follows Gibson’s earlier Garage in Nashville, opened in 2021, and the London Garage, inaugurated in 2024, expanding the brand’s global retail and experience network.

Gibson’s entrance into Wynwood coincides with the district’s reputation for art and music. The immersive experience, coupled with the extensive instrument collection and cultural programming, positions the venue as a landmark for guitar enthusiasts and Latin‑music fans alike.

Open daily to the public, the Miami Garage invites visitors to play, learn, and participate in events that blend Gibson’s legacy with the vibrant Latin‑music scene of Miami.
