Beatport Connect LA 2026 Returns to W Hollywood with 20 Artists, Panels and New Creator Tool Demo

Beatport Connect LA 2026 is back, turning the W Hotel Hollywood into a one‑day hive of electronic music insight on Friday, September 25. The summit gathers DJs, producers, label executives and industry professionals for panels, workshops and networking, marking the second year of Beatport’s Los Angeles edition.

The day is split into two dedicated rooms. In Culture, Trends & Technology the focus is on the forces shaping electronic music. Sessions cover diversity in festival programming, the global language of dance music, and a conversation with Beatport CEO Matt Gralen. Artist & Career Development offers practical skill‑building, including a one‑on‑one AMA with Alison Wonderland, a talk by Elderbrook, a live‑coding workshop from Beatport Next artist DJ_Dave, a production session with Machinedrum, and a mixing introduction from FEM Synth Lab.

A roster of high‑profile speakers rounds out the event. Representatives from SoundCloud, Warner Records, Ninja Tune, WME, EMPIRE, Insomniac, Gigwell, Framework and Soul Clap Records will join previously announced guests from UTA, SoundCloud, Warner, Ninja Tune and WME. Artists such as Kitty Amor, MPH, Wuki, Salute and TOKiMONSTA will perform or speak. The summit will also host a Women in Music networking breakfast presented by Her Dancefloor and a lunchtime gathering by Beatport.io that will demonstrate its new creator‑focused product.

Live‑action programming keeps the energy high. DJ sets from Alison Wonderland, DJ_Dave, Machinedrum, TOKiMONSTA and Beatport Next artists will fill the W Hollywood Wet Deck, while dublab resident DJs BITCHIMAWITCHH, Pretty Gay Friendly and Trax Unit take the stage there as well. A partnership with the Pete Tong DJ Academy offers discounted access to students, with two selected students performing at the event. The official Beatport Connect LA Afterparty at Sound Nightclub will feature Lennox Takura, Kasango and Sparrow (CH) from 10 pm, with free entry for registered attendees.

Beatport’s CEO Matt Gralen will appear on a panel about diversity and technology, underscoring the company’s ongoing investment in creator tools. The Beatport.io lunchtime demo will showcase a new platform that integrates licensing, distribution and analytics for independent producers. The event also supports MusiCares, with 20 % of ticket proceeds directed to the charity. Ticket sales for Early Bird and First Release tiers are sold out; General Access tickets remain available through the official website.

Beatport has long been a central hub for electronic music distribution, offering a catalog of over 1.5 million tracks and a dedicated streaming service for DJs. In recent years the platform has expanded into creator tools, licensing solutions and community events, positioning itself as a one‑stop resource for producers and labels. The 2026 summit reflects this broader strategy, combining educational content with live demonstrations of new software that streamlines sample licensing and royalty tracking. Industry observers note that the inclusion of AI‑driven production workshops, such as DJ_Dave’s live‑coding session, signals Beatport’s interest in emerging audio technologies that can accelerate workflow and lower entry barriers for independent creators.

Beatport’s CEO Matt Gralen has indicated that the company will continue to host annual summits in major markets, with plans to expand the Connect brand to other cities in 2027. The platform also announced a partnership with the Pete Tong DJ Academy to provide students with discounted access to Beatport’s tools and a pathway to professional gigs. Additionally, Beatport is developing a new licensing API that will allow independent producers to embed royalty calculations directly into their DAWs. While ticket sales for Beatport Connect LA 2026 are still open for General Access, the event’s schedule and speaker lineup are fixed, and attendees are encouraged to register early to secure a spot in the limited‑capacity afterparty.

Beatport Connect LA 2026 is scheduled for September 25 at W Hollywood, offering a full day of panels, workshops, DJ performances and networking. The summit’s expanded format and high‑profile lineup aim to provide creators and industry professionals with actionable insights and new tools. Attendees can register for the event and the afterparty through Beatport’s official site, and the summit will continue to support MusiCares through ticket proceeds.
