SIX60 Announces 2026 Global Tour to Promote New Album "Right Here Right Now"

SIX60, New Zealand’s most commercially successful pop‑rock band, has announced a 2026 world tour that will take the group from the Royal Albert Hall in London to venues across Europe, North America and Australia. The tour is tied to the band’s fifth studio album, Right Here Right Now, which was released earlier this year and explores themes of family, unity and cultural pride.

The tour schedule begins on 7 October with a headline show at the Royal Albert Hall, followed by performances at the Academy in Dublin (9 October), Electric Bristol (11 October) and Academy 2 in Manchester (12 October). The European leg continues with a show in Paris on 14 October, a concert in Zurich on 16 October, and a performance in Prague on 18 October. The North American segment opens in Baltimore on 12 September, then moves to Denver (27 October), Vancouver (30 October), San Francisco (1 November), Los Angeles (3 November), San Diego (4 November), Toronto (6 November), Montréal (7 November), Boston (9 November), Brooklyn (10 November), Chicago (13 November) and concludes in Nashville on 15 November. The Australian leg starts in Cairns on 2 October, includes a festival appearance on the Gold Coast (3 October), shows in Melbourne (27 November), Perth (28 November), Adelaide (3 December) and finishes in Sydney on 4 December.

SIX60 formed in 2008 in Dunedin, Otago, from a group of friends who met in a student house on 660 Castle Street. The lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Matiu Walters, lead guitarist Ji Fraser, drummer and bassist Chris Mac, and guitarist, bassist and synthesiser player Marlon Gerbes. The band’s self‑titled debut album, released on 10 October 2011 through their own label Massive Entertainment, debuted at number one on the New Zealand charts and was certified gold within a week. Subsequent releases have consistently topped the local charts, and the group has sold out large venues such as Western Springs Stadium (2019) and Eden Park Stadium (2021).

Right Here Right Now was recorded after the band’s 2024 “Grassroots” tour, which focused on stripped‑back performances. The album’s lyrics emphasize the importance of family and cultural identity. Walters has highlighted the role of Māori heritage in the music, noting that the band’s Te Reo Māori songs resonate with international audiences. The album’s release has been accompanied by a series of promotional videos and live performances, including a recent live rendition of “Rivers” with Teddy Swims.

Matiu Walters expressed enthusiasm for the tour in the press release: “We played Barcelona in July, and the audience were singing our songs back at us. We’ve been visiting Europe for a few years now initially playing to Kiwis, but we’re definitely building an international following. Music crosses borders and languages because everyone loves music, and if our songs connect with people in Spain, France, Germany, well, we must be doing something right.” He added that performing at the Royal Albert Hall would be “epic.” The venue, which has a capacity of 5,272, has hosted a wide range of artists over its 155‑year history.
