Beatport Connect LA Returns for Second Year at W Hollywood Hotel on September 25
Beatport, the world’s leading marketplace for DJs and electronic‑music professionals, announced that its second‑year Beatport Connect LA will take place on September 25 at the W Hollywood Hotel. The one‑day summit will bring together artists, labels, media, agencies, promoters, technologists and fans for panels, workshops and networking sessions focused on the future of electronic music.
Beatport Connect LA expands from its inaugural 2025 format by adding a second dedicated room. The first room will host discussions on cultural, technological and industry trends shaping electronic music, while the second room will focus on practical career development. Sessions will cover topics such as brand building, business partnerships, long‑term career growth and the evolving landscape of festivals and live events.
"As the home of electronic music, Beatport has always been about connecting the people who move the culture forward," said Ed Hill, Beatport’s Chief Brand Officer. "Beatport Connect brings artists, promoters, labels, technologists and fans together to share ideas, build new relationships, and shape what’s next for the industry. We’re excited to return to Los Angeles on an even bigger scale this year."
The program’s speaker lineup includes industry leaders and artists. From the corporate side, Adrienne Fitzpatrick of Warner Records, Bailey Greenwood of WME, Katie Bain of Billboard, Maddy Savage of Ninja Tune, Matt Gralen of Beatport, Maurice Slade of SoundCloud and Nicholas Douglas of Notion will share insights. Artists Kitty Amor, MPH, salute and Wuki are scheduled to speak, with additional performers announced later.
Key sessions will explore the future of electronic music and sustainable artist careers. Highlights include: - "Electronic Music… What’s Next?" – a forward‑looking panel on emerging sounds and business models. - "Progress, Pause or Regression? The Current State of Diversity in Event & Festival Programming" – a discussion on representation in live‑event booking. - "Breaking into Hollywood Through Sync" – guidance on licensing tracks for film, television and advertising. - "Building an Artist Brand in 2026" – practical advice on positioning and marketing. - "The Artist Toolkit: Building a Sustainable Career" – a workshop on revenue streams, partnerships and long‑term planning.
In addition to the main program, Beatport Connect LA will feature a community breakfast in partnership with Her Dancefloor, a nonprofit that champions women in music. The day will conclude with an industry networking mixer, giving attendees a chance to connect informally.
Brands that will be present include Musical Beings, Hisong, Beatport.io, Gigwell and others that provide technology, distribution and event‑management solutions for creators.
Beatport’s move to host a full‑day summit in Hollywood underscores the platform’s role as a hub for electronic‑music professionals. Since its founding in 2004 and acquisition by LiveStyle in 2013, Beatport has expanded beyond a digital storefront to include news, original content and a DJ‑focused streaming service.
Beatport Connect LA is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on September 25, with tickets available through Beatport’s event portal. Organizers say the event will be open to anyone involved in the electronic‑music ecosystem, from emerging artists to established label executives.
The summit is positioned as a key networking and learning opportunity for creators looking to navigate the changing music‑industry landscape, particularly as streaming, AI tools and sync licensing continue to reshape revenue models.
Beatport’s announcement comes amid broader industry conversations about sustainability, diversity and the role of technology in music creation and distribution. By offering a dedicated space for both strategic discussion and hands‑on career development, Beatport Connect LA aims to support the next generation of electronic‑music talent.
