Backline Secures Grant from Ariana Grandes Brighter Days Ahead Foundation to Expand Mental-Health Services for Music Industry Professionals

Backline, the nonprofit that connects music‑industry workers with mental‑health resources, has been named a grantee of Ariana Grande’s Brighter Days Ahead Foundation through the foundation’s Heal & Dream Fund. The partnership, announced on July 28 2026, will broaden access to therapy, crisis support and community programs for industry professionals and vulnerable groups.

The foundation, launched on June 12, focuses on protecting trans and LGBTQ+ rights, expanding mental‑health care and providing compassionate crisis response. It operates four dedicated funding initiatives that aim to strengthen existing organizations that deliver life‑changing services. The grant to Backline builds on a prior collaboration that supplied wellness resources, therapy grants and mental‑health services during Grande’s 2026 Eternal Sunshine Tour.

In a statement released with the announcement, Grande said she was "beyond excited to finally announce the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation." She added that the foundation’s mission is to support, protect and provide resources for vulnerable friends in need. "Through four different funds, we will be supporting handfuls of incredible organizations that provide the safe space and care that is desperately needed by so many right now," Grande said.

Backline co‑founder and executive director Hilary Gleason explained how the grant will enhance the organization’s work behind the scenes. "Backline delivers essential mental‑health and wellness resources to music‑industry professionals, ensuring the people behind the music receive the compassionate, affordable care they deserve," Gleason said. "Through Brighter Days Ahead Foundation’s partnership, we’re able to provide for the music industry’s needs in a more sustainable way, including B‑LINE, a 24/7 mental‑health and crisis support line created exclusively for the music industry, and through direct tour support."

During Grande’s sold‑out Los Angeles shows on the Eternal Sunshine Tour, Backline distributed 200 wellness bags to crew members working behind the scenes. Each bag contained products designed to reduce stress and promote self‑care. Crew members also gained access to therapy grants through the Music’s Mental Health Fund, a program made possible by the foundation’s support.

B‑LINE, Backline’s 24‑hour crisis support service for music‑industry professionals and their families, has already connected with more than 400 people seeking care. The foundation was an early financial supporter of the initiative, and the partnership will help sustain and expand the line’s reach.

The collaboration underscores a growing recognition of the mental‑health challenges faced by those who work in music production, touring and related fields. By tying the foundation’s resources to Backline’s established network of vetted providers, the grant aims to create a more resilient support system for artists, technicians, road crews and other industry workers.

Industry observers note that the partnership could serve as a model for other artists and organizations seeking to address mental‑health gaps in creative industries.
