Hybe Launches ABD Label, Announces Seven-Member Girl Group TUIDE
Hybe Co., Ltd., the South Korean conglomerate that grew from Big Hit Entertainment, announced on May 13 2026 that it had created a new label called ABD—short for A Bold Dream—dedicated exclusively to the development of girl groups. The company said the first act to debut under ABD will be a seven‑member group named TUIDE, scheduled for a second‑half 2026 debut.
ABD is part of Hybe’s broader multi‑label strategy, which has produced acts such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM and KATSEYE. The new label’s focus on girl groups is a first for Hybe, and the company said the name reflects a commitment to “pursuing unconventional, flexible” concepts for female artists.
TUIDE’s lineup consists of Seohee, Elena, Seoyeon, Saki, Yi Hani, Seah and Jia. The group’s name was revealed on July 20 2026, along with its official social‑media accounts. According to the company, the name means “tuning the tide,” suggesting a desire to shape current musical trends.
The project is headed by executive producer Han Sung‑soo, who has produced for After School, TWS, SEVENTEEN and IZ*ONE. Han will oversee music production, visual concepts, choreography and brand identity for the group.
Hybe’s launch of ABD and TUIDE aligns with its 2026 corporate mission and vision, unveiled on May 13. The company has been expanding globally, establishing labels and partnerships in Japan, the United States, Latin America and India, and investing in fan‑engagement platforms such as Weverse. The new label is intended to leverage Hybe’s worldwide infrastructure to support TUIDE’s international reach.
The K‑pop industry is entering a highly competitive fifth‑generation phase, with agencies prioritizing live performance, digital streaming, social‑media engagement and multilingual content. Hybe’s established production pipeline and global network give TUIDE a strong foundation as it prepares for its debut.
As of now, TUIDE has not released music, but Hybe has confirmed that the debut will occur in the second half of 2026. The company has not yet announced a specific date or title for the first single.
Hybe’s creation of ABD and the upcoming debut of TUIDE represent a significant addition to its roster of girl groups and a clear statement of intent to continue shaping the global K‑pop market.
