Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 Kicks Off in Miami Beach with Pitbull, 20+ Artists, and AI-Focused Panels
From October 19 to 22, Miami Beach’s Faena Forum will host Billboard Latin Music Week 2026, a four‑day gathering that brings together chart‑topping performers, senior industry executives, and technology specialists.
The event will feature more than 20 artists in exclusive sessions, including Greeicy, Jay Wheeler, Jessi Uribe, Kany Garcia, Lola Indigo, Paola Jara, RaiNao, Rawayana, Ryan Castro, Trueno, and Zhamira. A highlight will be a Superstar Q&A with Grammy‑winning Miami native Pitbull, who will discuss his career, business ventures, and the global rise of Latin music.
Panelists will include Nat Pastor, Tommy Mottola, and Víctor González, and the schedule will cover a range of topics from artificial intelligence to global touring. The AI‑focused panels are part of the week’s “Global Consolidation” theme, which also explores how Latin artists are breaking into stadiums and international markets.
Pitbull’s appearance comes amid a packed touring schedule. He is currently headlining the “I’m Back” tour with Lil Jon, a run that has sold out venues across North America and Europe. The artist also performed at BST Hyde Park in London, where a crowd of nearly 70,000 set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering wearing bald caps. His catalog has generated billions of streams and earned hundreds of gold and platinum certifications.
Beyond music, Pitbull has founded the Mr. 305 record label, Voli 305 Vodka, and the SiriusXM channel Globalization. He co‑founded SLAM!, a tuition‑free charter‑school network that serves more than 10,000 students in 14 U.S. schools. In the Q&A, he is expected to touch on these ventures and his influence on Latin music’s worldwide expansion.
Mike Van, Billboard CEO, said in the press release that the week “has established itself as the premier global celebration of Latin music” over the past three decades. Leila Cobo, Billboard’s co‑chief content officer, added that the event reflects Latin music’s increasing global reach, noting that the genre is “listened to more than ever around the world.”
The conference will culminate in the Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 22, a ceremony that will air live on Telemundo and Peacock.
Tickets begin at $650 and can be purchased through billboardlatinmusicweek.com. The Faena Forum, located at 3300 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, can be reached at 305‑534‑8800.
In a separate note from local media group Carbonatix, independent journalism in Miami is seeking $10,000 in reader support by August 9 to fund community reporting. The group states that reader contributions help maintain independence and shape future coverage.
The 2025 edition of Billboard Latin Music Week, held at the same venue, featured conversations with Anuel AA, Carín León, Carlos Vives, Daddy Yankee, DJ Khaled, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, among others. The 2026 lineup builds on that legacy by adding emerging artists such as Rawayana and Trueno, who have gained traction on streaming platforms.
Industry observers note that the inclusion of AI‑focused panels signals a growing interest in how machine learning tools can influence songwriting, production, and distribution. While the conference schedule has not yet listed specific AI vendors, the theme suggests that attendees will explore both creative and business applications.
Overall, Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 is positioned as a convergence point for artists, executives, and technologists. The event’s timing—coinciding with the awards ceremony—provides a comprehensive view of the Latin music ecosystem, from chart performance to live performance and beyond.
The conference is expected to attract attendees from across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, reflecting the genre’s worldwide popularity. As the event approaches, additional artists and industry figures are anticipated to be announced.
