Monster Energy Up & Up Festival Announces OMNOM Headliner for 10th-Anniversary Fall Tour
The roar of a college crowd and the pulse of a Los Angeles DJ collide as Monster Energy’s Up & Up Festival marks its decade‑long run with a Fall 2026 edition that will see house‑producer OMNOM headline.
The festival’s signature student‑ambassador competition model is back in full swing. More than 100 campus teams will battle it out for a chance to host a stop in October or November. Only four schools will win the right to stage the event, turning each venue into a local playground for students and fans alike.
Competition opens on September 15 at 4 p.m. EST with a presale window that lets student teams raise ticket sales through grassroots marketing, social‑media campaigns, bar takeovers, Greek‑life presentations, campus activations, and influencer outreach. Credit cards are charged only if a campus wins, giving fans a low‑risk way to support their school while providing students with a practical lesson in live‑event promotion and production.
The model has enabled Up & Up to sell out hard‑ticket college events before dates and locations are announced. It also offers a direct pipeline for students interested in music‑industry careers. In 2026, the festival will continue its Newcomers Award for schools that have not won since the COVID‑19 pandemic, expand “Road to Up & Up” club events near campuses, and host a National Pep Rally—a virtual event featuring surprise artist performances, industry workshops, and giveaways.
OMNOM, a Los Angeles‑based DJ and producer known for the 2018 breakout track “Fo Free,” said, “I never DJ’d any of the big parties back when I was in college. Thanks to Monster Energy Up & Up, I’m coming back to headline them instead. College crowds bring some of the best energy there is, and there’s something special about seeing your music connect with the next generation of dance fans.” OMNOM’s catalog includes more than 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Past Up & Up headliners have included Dom Dolla, Disco Lines, and Ship Wrek, who opened the Spring 2026 edition won by the University of Oregon. Winning schools in recent years have included Cal Poly, Miami‑Ohio, San Diego State, CSU Fullerton, the University of Tennessee, the University of Georgia, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Oregon.
Lefty Howland, a fifth‑year advertising major at the University of Oregon, said, “Applying to Up & Up has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in college. In a small town like Eugene, opportunities in the music industry felt limited, especially as an EDM lover, and Up & Up opened doors I didn’t think I’d find out here.” Howland’s experience illustrates the festival’s role as a platform for students to gain industry exposure.
Students interested in participating can apply for ambassador roles or internship credit at upandupfestival.com. The festival’s website also provides details on the Newcomers Award, Road to Up & Up events, and the National Pep Rally.
At this stage, the festival’s Fall 2026 schedule remains to be announced, but the competition is already underway. The event’s tenth‑anniversary branding and OMNOM’s headline slot signal a continued focus on engaging college audiences while offering students hands‑on experience in festival production and marketing.
