Sheboygans John Michael Kohler Arts Center Launches 12th Season of Free Levitt AMP Music Series

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC) will open its 12th season of the Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The series will run through the summer, offering free, live concerts each Thursday night on City Green in downtown Sheboygan.

The Levitt AMP series is a community‑focused program that pairs live music with food trucks, a beverage tent and art‑making activities for all ages. The lineup for the 2026 season includes a range of genres and performers, such as Lindsay Lou, Plenazo Tribe and Tuvergen Band, according to the JMKAC website. The concerts are scheduled to run for 10 weeks, ending with a season finale at the Art Preserve during the Wayside Days festival in September.

In addition to the music series, JMKAC is hosting the 56th Midsummer Festival of the Arts on July 18‑19. The festival will feature more than 100 artists presenting work in ceramics, painting, photography and other media. The event will also include food vendors and art‑making stations, continuing the center’s emphasis on interactive, public‑engagement programming.

JMKAC’s programming also highlights an Emerging Artist area, where up‑and‑coming creators can explore professional pathways. The area offers workshops, mentorship opportunities and a platform for artists to showcase their work to the public.

The series is organized in partnership with the Levitt Foundation, which supports community arts initiatives throughout Wisconsin. The foundation’s support allows the concerts to remain free of charge, fostering accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

The City Green venue, a public park in downtown Sheboygan, has hosted the Levitt AMP series since its inception in 2015. The park’s open‑air setting provides an informal atmosphere that encourages families, friends and neighbors to gather for music and community events.

JMKAC’s Art Preserve, opened in 2021, serves as a satellite museum space dedicated to art environments. The 2026 season finale will take place in this space, offering a more intimate setting for the final performance of the series.

Information on the full concert lineup can be found on the JMKAC website at jmkac.org. Details about the Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series, including dates, times and performer information, are available on Levitt.org.

The 12th season of the Levitt AMP series continues JMKAC’s tradition of providing free, high‑quality cultural programming to the Sheboygan community. By combining live music, food, beverage and art activities, the center reinforces its mission to strengthen social bonds and promote local pride through accessible arts experiences.

The series is scheduled to begin on June 25 and will conclude in September with the Wayside Days finale. The JMKAC and Levitt Foundation are committed to maintaining the series as a staple of Sheboygan’s summer cultural calendar.

For those interested in attending, the concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and to follow local health guidelines.

The Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series and the Midsummer Festival of the Arts represent significant community‑oriented programming by a local arts institution, offering residents and visitors a diverse array of music and visual art experiences without cost.
