Saving Country Music Unveils Updated Top 25 Playlist Featuring New Releases from Mack Geiger, Wyatt Flores and More

Saving Country Music, a curation service that compiles country and roots tracks for listeners, has refreshed its Top 25 playlist with several new songs and upcoming releases. The updated list, now available on Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Apple Music, highlights tracks from rising artists such as Mack Geiger, Wyatt Flores, Libby Dale, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Colby Acuff, Charlie Marie and the Mountain Grass Unit.

The playlist’s purpose is to provide a human‑curated selection of the best country music released in the last few weeks, according to the site’s description. The service claims to sift through dozens of new songs each week to surface those that stand out, avoiding the influence of algorithmic recommendation engines or paid promotion.

New additions to the Top 25 include Mack Geiger’s “Hole in the Wall,” which appears on his EP Walk a Straight Line that was released on May 29 2026. The EP was produced by Jared Adlam and features five tracks written by Geiger. A review on Country Central noted that the EP blends 90s country elements with a fresh baritone.

Wyatt Flores has added “Half The Man” to the playlist. The single precedes Flores’ full‑length album Scared of Heights, scheduled for release on July 31 2026 through Island Records/MCA. The album follows Flores’ 2024 debut Welcome to the Plains and his live album Live at Cain’s Ballroom.

Libby Dale, the solo project of fiddle player Libby Weitnauer, contributes “Empty Tank.” The track mixes traditional country, outlaw country and Louisiana Cajun influences. Dale’s website lists her as a fixture in Nashville’s Americana and indie scenes.

Aaron Lee Tasjan’s “Lydia’s Boots” is also featured. The song is part of Tasjan’s upcoming album Get Over It, Underdog, set for release on July 17 2026.

Colby Acuff’s “Lipstick on a Pig” appears on his album Handmade Horsepower. The track is described as an outspoken critique of the music industry’s practices.

Charlie Marie’s “Montana” is included in the full‑band version that appears on her comeback album Signs.

The Mountain Grass Unit contributes “Appalachian Smoke,” the title track of their forthcoming album Appalachian Smoke, due on August 28 2026. The group is noted for blending jam‑grass and psychedelic textures with traditional bluegrass.

Beyond the new songs, the playlist continues to feature a mix of singles and album cuts from artists such as Kaitlin Butts, Walker Montgomery, Joshua Ray Walker, Kimmi Bitter, Don Williams, Tyler Richards, Grace Maher, Alex Amen, Joe Abbott, Cat Clyde, Valley Flower, Katrina Cain, Chasen Wayne, Vincent Neil Emerson, Cody Johnson, Sam Platts, Kacey Musgraves, John R. Miller, Coleman Jennings, Rachel Brooke and Ian Noe.

The playlist’s availability across major streaming platforms allows listeners to access the full track list or to use the song, artist and album recommendations to discover new music on their preferred service.

Saving Country Music’s approach to curation is positioned as an alternative to algorithm‑driven playlists. The site’s description emphasizes that the selections are made by people who “dig through dozens of songs each week” to present the best country and roots music.

The updated Top 25 reflects the current release schedule of several artists and provides a snapshot of the genre’s active output in mid‑2026. Listeners can follow the playlist on Spotify or other platforms to stay current with new releases.

As of now, the playlist remains a static list of tracks, with no announced changes to its structure or curation methodology.
